ABOUT NEETI
BENGALURU, INDIA
I’m Neeti Sarkar, founder of Hue Got Styled, certified personal stylist, and Bangalore’s first and only internationally certified, mastery-level trained colour analyst in the 16-23 season system.
My tryst with colour and style is a tale as old as time. With a long and thriving career in lifestyle and fashion journalism that kickstarted at age 19, with The Hindu MetroPlus, I went on to also write extensively on fashion, beauty, trends, and style forecasting for Femina, and special editions of Harper’s Bazaar India, and Cosmopolitan India, among others.
With an equally interesting parallel career, spanning over a decade, as a professionally trained psychotherapist, working especially with women battling low self-confidence attached to body image issues, I discovered early on that enclothed cognition (the psychological phenomenon where what you wear influences your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours) wasn’t a sham, nor was colour psychology (understanding how colours influence emotions, perceptions, and behaviour) or dopamine dressing (choosing clothes, colours, and textures to boost your mood), for that matter.
While working on one’s internal belief system is of utmost importance, I could not unsee how working on the external could complement one’s personal growth and transformation. And so, I took it upon myself to do something to help women like myself look and feel better (no matter their age, body shape, size, or skin colour) so they could show up for themselves more authentically, and thus Hue Got Styled was born.

THE HUE GOT STYLED EXPERIENCE
What colour analysis feels like
Imagine being seated comfortably in a state-of-the-art studio, in front of a mirror, as the perfect amount of sunlight streams through the bay window, catching your natural colour and beauty. You’re surrounded by a plethora of colourful drapes and other colour analysis tools, used systematically and strategically to arrive at your exact colour season and your “wow” colours.
Fascination, intrigue, and enthrallment are some of the usual responses I witness as you begin to see why some colours flatter you, and others don’t. It’s a bucket-list kind of experience that helps you realise learning what suits you is not limiting but liberating, because colour analysis is not a rulebook but a toolkit. Most importantly, it feels like a worthy one-time investment because it truly is one (yup, your season will not change with time or even a tan). Colour analysis is that transformative journey where seeing is believing.

My experience with getting a colour analysis
It’s been a game-changer! I’m happy to report that, as a self-diagnosed shopaholic who finds it hard to ignore “sale” signs on window displays at the mall, I’ve stopped buying outfits in colours that don’t flatter me, even if the fit is “cute”, or wearing makeup that doesn’t match my unique personal colour dimensions.
I no longer struggle with impulsivity, decision fatigue, or exhaustion while shopping or getting dressed. In short, life has gotten simpler and way more fun.

And now I’m here to help you find your colours, so you too can uncover the clarity, confidence, and joy that comes with it!
